NAME MY HEN

At the request of my loyal readers I am launching a new competition.

NAME MY HEN

We are getting 3 hens. We have chosen 2 names already (a closley guarded secret) but need a third name.

Leave your suggestions in the comment window. The judges decision is final. Should no suitable name be proposed the hen will be named Mother Clucker. Please, save her from this fate.

Sarah (after The Beeny)

Jenny
Sandy
Gretchen
Marion

My Daughter Danielle thinks you should call the hen "Geraldine", but I think that a rather splendid name would be "Madame Bovary", or how about "Mata Hari"......? Sorry, we did try!!!!

Since you live in Scotland and all, I think "McNugget" would be appropiate.....alternatively, as an homage to "Men In Black", "Eggar".
Hard really to suggest anything without knowing the two other names. Maybe you should just stick with "Mother Clucker"?

'McNugget' would be a good name but everyone knows there is no chicken in a Chicken McNugget. :-)

Why don't you carry on the family tradition and name it after a character from the Magic Roundabout?? I think Zebidee would be a wonderful name!

saying as you are in scotland and it is soo fitting I say call it 'Hen' as in 'awrite hen' pity another name isn't up for grabs and you could have "ken" too, as in 'I ken what ya mean pal'.
Or my final suggestion is 'pal.'

i'm getting 3 hens too....and at first i chose these names:
Hazel
Beatrice
Adelaide

and then i thought "well, Adelaide is cute for a hen cuz of the LAID part in the name" so i had to make my other 2 hen names kinda match (and be "chickeny") and i chose:

Adelaide
Nestor
Layla

i also like the name of a previous comment....Mrs. Henderson.....but i'm pretty sure i'll stick with Layla.
have fun with your girls!
