Please help us solve an ongoing marital dispute by telling me your opinion on this very serious matter.
Should space in a double bed be divided up 50-50, or allocated on a proportional basis determined by the size of the occupants?
I think it should be 50-50, and regularly point out to Nick that he is encroaching on my half of the bed. Nick responds by saying that he is quite alot wider than me in the shoulder area and therefore he should be allowed a larger proportion of the width. Lots of elbowing ensues.

50/50.....or else the larger person should also pay the larger proportion of the gas bill (as they take more warming up) the electric bill, the water bill (more h2o needed to wash their bigger bodies) the food bill etc etc etc. You could always get single beds - or maybe that should wait until you are pensioners!!!
We do have a joke about becoming like Basil and Sybil Fawlty in their twin beds.
I would love 50/50 but even though I am larger than Victoria she always seems to take up more room than me.
There's no argument. Proportional representation is the only way.
Also, gas production should also be factored in to the gas consumption argument, so maybe Tracy has a point.
