Today on chicken news...
Not much. They are sleeping when I leave for work and have already gone up to roost when I get back.
Last Friday Scramble perfected her new trick of getting my attention by jumping on the window cill and tapping the glass with her beak. After feeding her some corn she then went to sleep there, curled up like a fluffy ball pressed against the glass. Soooo cute!

have they started to lay yet?
Your chickens aren't going anywhere near the Christmas Dinner table are they? And if you're having turkey might they be emotionally scarred by seeing a bigger cousin of theirs being eaten? ;)
No, they've not started laying. We're hoping it'll be coming after the solstice.
However, they will end up on the table if they don't start coming good on their side of the bargain, rather than just eating everything and shitting everywhere!
